A start

Example (not my work)

Example (not my work)
Today is my first venture into my double major in printmaking and communication design.  My first assignment for intro to printmaking is to experiment with mixing and printing color on different media to see how opaque and transparent colors act with each other when printed on a diverse type of paper media.  This assignment will help me figure out how to mix and apply my colors with a desired outcome.

  1. Do you find that you favor more subtle colors or more vibrant colors?

  2. @Carolina there really is no rules to this you just pick complimentary colors and analogous colors and play with the opacity and lay color on top of color to see how it will react with the colors below and write down your observations. That's what the writing at the bottom is, it notes the mixture of transparent base (which makes the color see thru) and how much pure color base is in the mix. It's purely an experiment in mixing color in the paint can, applying to a media, overlapping and layering the colors over one another to see how the colors mix on the paper. This will teach me how to get a desired effect without having to use white as a sort of primer so that the colors below won't mess with the color above. using white like that is time consuming and it adds to the overall runs that you have to do to finish the project. HOPE YOU GOT ALL THAT CAUSE I AIN'T REPEATN' IT!!! =P
